MORE ABOUT THE EXCHANGE STUDENTS
In a genre quickly dissolving into a Swedish Rock & Roll crusade, the exchange students have set themselves apart with their unique mission: they're not out to save rock and roll; they just want to play it. Above and beyond the mindless drove of "the" bands before them, the Exchange Students count on blistering guitar hooks, unforgiving drums and sternum-shaking bass to carry the day. Despite the obvious influence of bands such as Mission of Burma, the Pixies, Fugazi and At the Drive-In, this Boston-based trio leaves its loyal fanbase grasping for musical reference points at the end of every show. The Exchange Students have already shared the stage with such prominent Boston acts as Damone and the Damn Personals, and their patented sound shows no signs of stopping there.
