MORE ABOUT CESCA WATERFIELD
A resident of Boston for almost a year, Cesca Waterfield's powerful voice and presence have aleady garnered the praise and respect of clubs in Carolina, Memphis, Atlanta, NYC, and Philly. Her roots-rock songs feature strong hooks and haunting imagery and are deeply imagined snaphosts of hope and hard-won faith.
Sweetbriar is Cesca's first EP, and is availbale on CD Baby. She has a summer of festival/club dates and a second full-length CD in the works.
Cesca's at work on a soundtrack for Florida filmmakers Suzanne Arthur and Anberin Pasha. Slated for release in early 2004, thebfilm chronicles Southern women's history. Cesca's poetry and short fiction has been published in journals including Powhatan Review and Blue Collar Review.
