MORE ABOUT ZANDER
Zander is the work of former Northeast Performer senior writer Alex MacPhail. Together with Chris Tompson, this 4 piece bundle of raw songwriting energy, combined with shredding guitars, is a perfect antidote to the new downtrodden man/victim sounds permiating the airwaves. Zander has been involved in all aspects of the music industry and "now is the time" to unleash all those lessons learned. Zander has a number one song, "Rt 109," on 92.1 (now part of the FNX Radio Network) and even got mention on Howie Carr in syndication from Boston to Oregon.
A Sample review from a Garageband.com reviewer from Oklahoma for Zander's new single "Home Again": "An intro that reminded me equally of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Church, rootsy and spacy at the same time. The song reminds me of something I would slap into the 8 track while I stalked my ex around all the trailer parks in the central valley of California in an old Ranchero while coming down off a meth and cheap beer binge. Don't ask me why. I can see the band playing it for the barbacks sweeping up the club one week, then to an auditorium of blazing lighters the next, everyone saying, 'I knew them when.'"
We hope to not meet this man
