MORE ABOUT PAT BURTIS BAND
Known for his intense stage performances, innovative guitar work, and finely-crafted songs, Cambridge, MA-based Pat Burtis is making a name for himself both solo and as the leader of the Pat Burtis Band. A student of the guitar for over twenty years and a fiction writer with a novel under his belt, his catchy hooks and explosive guitar style have drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Dave Matthews, and Jeff Beck. His 1999 release Radium Girls won Most Impressive Singer-Songwriter Debut from WVIA (Scranton, PA), and received airplay on over 60 radio stations nationwide, including Boston's WXRV 92.5 The River. The Pat Burtis Band was a regional finalist in the 2000 Jim Beam Rock Band Search and 2000 and 2001 NEMO Music Conference showcase performers. A new album is scheduled for a fall 2001 release.
