MORE ABOUT KEITH WHITE
Inspired by singer-songwriter, storytellers such as Bob Dylan and John Prine, Keith’s songs invite the listener to glimpse into another’s life. Even his vocals conjure images of front-porch fellowship. Keith, who considers it his mission to carry on a musical narrative tradition, offers simply crafted songs, with complex, multi-layered themes and images. Most importantly, he pulls the audience into his performances through honesty, simplicity, and passionate delivery.
A recent transplant to New England, Keith White grew up in southern Illinois. It was in the small town bars and coffee houses that he and his brother made a name for themselves as versatile and tireless performers. Known as Two American Brothers, they not only kept busy with regular gigs at their favorite regional venues, but they also produced four CDs, performed at community events, and hosted a weekly open-stage on which other performers were welcome to share their talents. Keith, a member of the RI Songwriters Association and the Americana Music Association is currently preparing to record his first solo CD.
